A wonderful diversity of neighborhood/community gardens that empower communities to become more self-sufficient, give them access to healthy food, and provide space for community participation. Some may be in spaces reclaimed from pavement.

Another wonderful local example to follow is Bayer Farm: https://www.landpaths.org/bayer-farm/

The U.K. Allotment system may have hints for us. Everyone is eligible to have one;

sharing overage could be as easy as setting up a table for freebies. Gleaning could be possible with a grant to Petaluma Bounty and Mary Isaak Center Kitchen as well as Redwood Food Bank. Community Gardens could offer play areas for children and pets, seating for gardeners and perhaps a table to share simple, plant based meals.
